Dance for Fitness

The perfect way to have fun and get fit at the same time. Adults of all ages are welcome. Some level of fitness required. Wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear e.g. runners or jazz shoes.

Please note: no class 12 June.

Your Tutor

Viona has an extensive dance background in ballet, contemporary dance, and creative movement. Following a two year scholarship in Germany in 1977 with the Stuttgart Ballet Academy, she continued her dance career in The Netherlands for five years, and then returned to Australia to dance with the West Australian Ballet Company, and then Dance North, in Queensland. Viona returned to Melbourne to combine freelance dance with studies at Melbourne University, receiving a Graduate Diploma in Dance and Movement in 1994. Viona has since taught ballet, contemporary dance, and creative movement throughout Melbourne, and fitness classes in several community centres, including the beautiful Box Hill Community Arts Centre.
