Noriko Tadano plays the ancient traditional Japanese shamisen. In Australia, she has given it a new llife, playing punchy percussive accompaniment for Bluesman George Kamikawa. For Matsudo Week, leading instumentalist Anne Norman proposes join them to explore a shakuhachi approach to the Blues!
From Cuba, Argentina and Chile, via Melbourne, the players in El Numero Perfecto bring a profound Latin influence to the Jazz piano trio. There are other influences as well from the different genres they explore and their respective Melbourne connections. Enjoy a perfect evening of Jazz.
