Natural Botanical Dyeing

  • 1 day course 4 June, 2017

Join us for a day of extracting colour from local plants, flowers and food scraps to dye fibres. You will learn how to identify suitable dye sources, get multiple colours from one plant, methods to preserve and set the dyes and how to work in a sustainable way in your environment. Included is a demonstration of how to create an eco-print from leaves and flowers on fabric. You will leave with samples from each of the class dye pots and an information sheet on the techniques used.

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dye on. BYO lunch.
