Printmaking

Explore the process of mark making and the construction of an image through printmaking techniques including mono-types, lino-cut, collagraphs and etching onto plastic and metal.

Students will have freedom to work on their own projects throughout the course and will learn how to create depth, atmosphere, layering, tone and value within the printmaking medium as well as through their own practice. Materials list will be provided.

Your Tutor

Mary-Jane is a Victorian registered teacher who has had a life long passion for art and design. For over thirteen years she has taught visual arts, studio arts, printmaking, visual communication design, photography at various secondary colleges around Melbourne. Her studio practise is often inspired by her love of the landscape and it’s natural elements. She expresses her passions using a variety of media and techniques including oil painting, printmaking, ceramics, watercolours and photography. Her interest in other cultures has lead her to travel extensively throughout Europe, Asia and the Pacific. Mary-Jane aspires to bringing out the best creative and original ideas in each of her students.
